Oh Henry

We had a nice little treat last week.  We got to pet sit for a friend while they were in NYC for the week. Meet Henry.  Not quite sure what kind of pup he is but he was a sweetie.  At first things were a little hectic... trying to get Henry adjusted to a new place and trying to get our kits to understand what this crazy thing was! ha.

Overtime things warmed up.  We went on some daily walks.  We barked a few strangers. We had a few beers out on the patio at Great Divide.  It was a nice little stay!

We loved having the little booger.  But it is nice to have our kitty cats back to normal and snuggling with us again!

Spreading Christmas Cheer

We are kicking of this holiday season, with a brand new home. And a brand new Tree!! We couldn't be more excited.  It has been YEARS that we have wished for a big Christmas tree and finally IT IS HERE! And better yet... We finally get to use our tree rotater that we bought over 3 years ago! HA.

Yes... we are pretty nutty when it comes to holidays. We deck the halls, top to bottom.  From sheets to stockings to shelves. To prove it, we made a little video! :)

Now it is time to finish up our holiday shopping. And wrap the new edition to the Berney Christmas game madness.... Candycane Lane Trivia Game! It's a doozy so FAMILY... start studying now! :)

Merry Christmas!!!!

Parade of Lights

HELLO HOLIDAYS!!!

To kick off our holiday season, we joined Downtown Denver for the PARADE OF LIGHTS!   It has been years since I had been to a parade.  Probably not sense I was in one in High School! What a fun surprise.  There were massive floats like the Macy's Day Parade.  There were marching bands decked out in Xmas lights.  Frisbee Dogs.  People with fire.  Nutcracker music! I felt like a little kid again..... ew ew ew... look! Here comes the Penguin!

Giving Thanks!

As we all know, Thanksgiving is a time to remember all the things in life that we are so blessed to have... And right now Jason and I are so very thankful to be closer to our family now! The last several months have been such an exciting journey and have offered such fun adventures so far.  But it is so exciting for us to be able to pack up the "kits" and head back for the holidays.  When we were in New Jersey, it always broke my heart to leave the girls at home and how much time and money- was wasted in the airports! But now that we are in Denver, we are so thankful that we are just a few highways away!!

So you can imagine how we spent our Thanksgiving.  O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A or bust! We enjoyed some great food! Even cooked some great food! Saw some extended family from out of town.  Always great to see them. Shared some laughs.  Saw the new TWILIGHT movie!! And visited with a few of our favorite people, we like to call family!

We got a few nights out on the streets of Bartlesville to visit some folks! Thanksgiving always brings people back to town and it was great to go out and visit with some old faces.  We sang a little Karaoke.  Had a few drinks. And talked about good times!!

I am so thankful for such a great Thanksgiving but I think one of the greater things to remember on Thanksgiving is to not only celebrate these wonderful gifts of life on just this day but EVERYDAY!

Thank you!

Broncos vs Jets

This past Thursday we were giving MANY thanks to some dear Bronco fans we have in the family (Thanks Jim & Kacy C.) as they offered us three tickets to the Denver Broncos game vs the NY Jets game.  WHAT FUN!

Now many of you probably know that I am NOT a Broncos fan.  But being a new resident to their city, I figure I should be a little more open-minded.  So unless that are playing my Chiefs... or anyone else that is better than the Broncos, I will cheer for them! HA!

So we bundled up and took our friend Blair (another newly Denver local) to our first Broncos game! And it was GREAT! Awesome seats. You can feel the Thunder rolling as everyone pounds their feet in cheers!

And with #15 Tim Tebow being the new STAR of the team (and basically of every news broadcast) we were of course humored to see him in person.  We made sure to take a few TEBOW-ing photos to keep us trending with the new wave! All the cool kids are doing it ya know!

We even tested the crowd by bringing in our Chiefs jersey to rial up some fans! Luckily we had a few Jets fans to defend us.  And I couldn't get much credit for the Chiefs seeing they had lost to the Broncos just the week prior... but hey, I felt good about it! ha.

The Broncos ended up winning.... In an awesome 4th quarter comeback.  In the final two minutes, they were able to take lead to steal the win from Mr. Mark Sanchez and his Jets team.  It was quick a thriller. So exciting I almost spilled my nachos!!! That was close!

We cannot thank our family enough for the tickets! We had a blast!
